Curricula for a Custom Fit Education

Do you want to custom create a curriculum for your home schooled child? What types of books should you use that will best fit your child's learning style? Cost can be a big deciding factor in determining what books to use in a curriculum. A custom created curriculum can be both cost effective as well as flexible enough to fit your child's learning needs and style.

A custom created curriculum can be very simplistic or as complex as you wanted it to be. Your child will probably be the deciding factor on how far you feel you need to go with the curriculum. If you homeschool on a shoestring, a basic curricululm with a school years worth of lesson plans that can be supplemented with worksheets and workbooks may be a good option. But what if your needs are for a kinesthetic, auditory, or visual learner? Perhaps you have a child with special needs. Or maybe your child is a traditional learner but does not work well with textbooks. Creating a custom curriculum that fits your child's learning needs and styles may be more effective.

A curriculum with a years worth of lesson plans gives you the foundation to supplement with materials that will fit with your child's educational needs. You have control in choosing books that will best stimulate their learning styles and still have the added comfort of knowing that you are covering the required subjects.
